Season Preview

After the cancellation of the 2020 spring baseball season, Defiance High School Bulldog Baseball is ready to be back in action! Coach Held and his boys are ready to compete for a Western Buckeye League championship and make another run for a state title. Seniors Jacob Hutcheson, Jack Vander Horst, Cameron McDonald, and Caden Kline have been leading the Bulldogs in preparation for yet another successful season. 

It has been a cold and snowy winter. Luckily, the Dawgs have been able to train in the Niese Center donated by Jon Niese, current professional baseball pitcher and former Bulldog! This tremendous turfed facility with several batting cages has given the players a place to prepare for the spring after a long off season. 

The Bulldogs are scheduled to kick off their season at Wauseon on Saturday, March 27th at 1:00pm followed by their home opener on Monday, March 29th at 5:00pm against Rossford. Come out and support your Dawgs! If COVID-19 is holding you back from coming out to the ballpark, no need to worry....check the schedule for games broadcasted on 1280 AM Radio-Defiance!
